Lindsey Schroeder joined the Illinois State Athletic Training staff in June of 2011. She will serve as the primary athletic trainer for women's basketball and will oversee softball.
Prior to Illinois State, Schroeder worked as an Athletic Trainer for Cactus High School in Glendale, Ariz., and taught Introduction to Sports Medicine and Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in the Career Technical Education (CTE) Program. Schroeder is currently working towards her Doctorate of Education in Sports Management, with an emphasis in sports medicine from the United States Sports Academy.
A National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certified athletic trainer, she received her master's degree in exercise science from Oakland University where she served as Assistant Athletic Trainer, primarily working with women's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball and softball.
The Chapel Hill, N.C. native earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Appalachian State in 2003, with a minor in exercise science and health promotion.
