Laurie Retzer has worked in the Illinois State Athletics Department since 1990, and she currently serves as the administrative clerk in Horton Field House. Retzer is the office manager, and her duties include assisting the coaching staffs of baseball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track & field.
A native of Normal, Ill., and a fourth-generation alumna of Illinois State, Retzer received her bachelor's degree in recreation administration in December 1977. She and her husband, Kent, a 1978 graduate of Illinois state, have three sons: Joshua, David ('06) and Nathan ('08), as well as five grandchildren.
