An emeritus professor of psychology ... retired from teaching in Dec. 2002 ... since 2003, has been a volunteer in the Karin Bone Athletics Study Center ... serves as a targeter for both the Redbird softball and women's golf teams ... also coordinates a study skills workshop ... in 2002 was presented the Herb Sanders Award for Outstanding Academic Advisement ... has also worked as an official at the ISU track and field meets since 1970 ... served as the chair of the University Athletic Council from 1972-74 and again during 1994-95 ... represented on the advisory committee for two head coach selections ... the 2006 Psychology Department's Alumnus of the Year (Full Career) award winner ... earned the Student Psychology Association's Outstanding Faculty Award in 1983, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1993 and 2001 ... presented with the 1999 Central Region Advisor of the Year Award by the Golden Key International Honour Society ... a departmental nominee for the University's Outstanding Teacher Award in 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991 and 1992 ... coordinated the psychology department's honors program from 1988-2000, while also coordinating the graduate studies program from 1996-2000 ... served as a faculty sponsor for the Golden Key International Honour Society from 1995-2002 and has continued this role since 2005 ... worked as the editor of The Illinois Psychologist, a newsletter for the Illinois Psychological Association from 1972-89 ... earned his bachelor of arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, in 1961 ... he continued with his master's from Illinois State University in 1964 and his doctorate from Northwestern University in 1966.
