After serving as a student and graduate assistant in the Athletics Communications office at Illinois State, Lauren Hutchcraft remains on the staff as the Assistant Athletics Communications Director. Hutchcraft will serve as the primary contact for the Redbird women's basketball team, as well as supervising the student assistants working with the ISU men's and women's golf teams. Hutchcraft, a native of Gibson City, Ill., is also the staff liaison between the athletics communications office and the Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University and the Karin L. Bone Study Center. In 2009, Hutchcraft earned her bachelor's degree from Illinois State in communication studies. She completed her master's degree in sport management, also from ISU, in May of 2011. Hutchcraft has served as the primary media contact for women's golf, gymnastics, softball, cross country and track and field, in addition to serving as the secondary contact for Redbird football during the 2010 season. During her first year as a graduate assistant, Hutchcraft, along with former ISU graduate assistant Kevin McCarty, collaborated on the 2009-10 men's basketball game-day program which was voted the best in the nation in the annual publications contest conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
