Rich Eckert Position: Graduate Assistant

Rich Eckert is a graduate assistant for Illinois State's compliance office. Eckert is responsible for checking and collecting information from prospective ISU student-athletes for the eligibility center and admissions. He also monitors and collects countable athletic related activities logs.

Before joining the Redbirds in 2010, Eckert earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Eckert served as the Golden Eagle's representative to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference NCAA Division II Student Athletic Advisory Commission, where his duties included updating the conference, commissioner and other student-athletes on key national legislative issues.

Along with his involvement in athletic administration, Eckert excelled as a swimmer at Clarion. He was an eight-time NCAA All-American, a four-time NCAA qualifier and All-PSAC selection and holds two school records. Eckert was also a four-time Clarion Scholar-Athlete.
