Kristen Brummett joined the Illinois State Athletic Training staff in June of 2011. She will serve as the primary athletic trainer for gymnastics and oversee women's soccer.
A National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certified trainer, Brummett received her master's degree in allied health management from Ohio State University. While at OSU, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for men's and women's gymnastics and served as the co-coordinator of medical coverage for Buckeye Sports Camps. Following graduation from OSU, Brummett worked as a certified athletic trainer for Frankfort Senior and Clinton Central Jr/Sr High Schools and in the rehabilitation department at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital in Frankfort, Ind.
The Minneola, KS, native received her bachelor's degrees in athletic training, human nutrition, and kinesiology from Kansas State in 2007.
