 | Position: Associate Director of the Karin L Bone Study Center

Former Illinois State men's golfer and Bone Scholar Ryan Brown returned to his alma mater to serve as the Associate Director of the Karin L. Bone Athletic Study Center. Brown's responsibilities include monitoring and tracking the academic progress of the Redbird women's basketball, soccer, swimming and diving and men's and women's tennis teams. Brown also developed and currently runs the Senior Huddles to Handshakes program, which assists senior student-athletes in making decisions about post-college life. In addition to Huddles to Handshakes, Brown works to coordinate other leadership development opportunities for our student-athletes.
Brown earned a bachelor's in finance and science and finance and insurance from Illinois State in 2006, and in 2008, he obtained his master's from ISU in business administration. Along with serving as the Redbird men's golf team captain, Brown also represented ISU on the Missouri Valley Conference Student Athlete Advisory Council and represented the MVC on the NCAA National Student Athlete Advisory Council.
Upon earning his undergraduate degree, Brown was recognized as an Illinois State Bone Scholar, which is ISU's highest academic award bestowed to approximately five to eight students per year based on academic performance and service to the university and community. Brown was also recognized as the 2005-06 Illinois State Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Brown currently resides in Bloomington, Ill.
