Lauren Benson Position: Graduate Assistant

Lauren Benson is in her second year as an event and game operations graduate assistant at Illinois State. Benson is responsible for on-site event management at all home athletics events and special events such as championships and Illinois High School Association tournaments. Benson also coordinates official's paychecks, facility accommodations and any needs they may have during events.

A 2010 University of Illinois graduate with a degree in recreation, sport and tourism with an emphasis in sport management, Benson served as a U of I sports information office student assistant during her undergraduate career. She also interned as a tournament administrator at the Illinois Junior Golf Association.

Benson is currently pursuing a master's degree in sport management at Illinois State.
