Four year letterwinner in both basketball and track and field ... a starter at center and forward on the basketball team ... was the first African American to be named a captain at ISU in 1935-1936, when the Redbirds compiled a 12-6 record (9-1 in the Little Nineteen) ... an exceptional high hurdles runner for the track and field team ... passed away in 2005 at the age of 91.
