Cheerleading Coach/Asst. Gymnastics Coach

Steve Avgerinos is the head cheerleading coach and assistant gymnastics coach at Illinois State. A former Redbird cheerleader himself, Avgerinos took a brief hiatus from academics while working in a salaried position with the Universal Cheerleaders Association as the Illinois State director. Avgerinos later returned to Illinois State where he graduated with a degree in biological sciences in May 2009.
