Be Inspired by Toys For Tots With Redbird Women's Basketball

December 2, 2013

NORMAL, Ill. - As a way to spread holiday cheer and help children in need, the Illinois State women’s basketball team is hosting a Toys for Tots Night at Redbird Arena, Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7:05 p.m., when the Redbirds take on Northern Illinois.

Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots of McLean County. All collected toys will be distributed to less-fortunate children within the Bloomington-Normal community as Christmas gifts. Donation drop boxes will be stationed at all Redbird Arena entrances the day of the game.

Every fan that donates a toy will receive a voucher to take a photo, with the women’s basketball team on Doug Collins Court, following the conclusion of the game. Photos will then be emailed to participating fans the following day by members of the ISU Athletics Marketing and Promotions department.

As always this season, all Reggie’s Kids Club members have free admission with a valid kids club ID. Members can enjoy Reggie’s Fun Zone, opening at 6:05 p.m. on the arena concourse near the South entrance, including coloring sheets, Reggie tattoos and more! ISU students with a valid Illinois State student ID will also be granted free admission into the game.

Tickets for this game can be purchased online at GoRedbirds.com, by-phone at (309) 438-8000 or in-person at one of the ISU Athletics Ticket Offices located either at Redbird Arena or Hancock Stadium, open Monday thru Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
