NORMAL, Ill. - As the Illinois State soccer team closes out home play for the regular-season against Drake, the team would like to invite all youth to Adelaide Street Field for Reggie’s Kids Club Day, Sunday, Oct. 27, at 12 p.m., with the game starting at 1 p.m.
Before the game, the Reggie’s Kids Club Day party will take place, including miniature pumpkin decorating, a candy apple creation station and varied contests with candy prizes. The first 150 Kids Club members to RSVP to Maggie Ahern, marketing and promotions graduate assistant, by phone at (309) 438-3399, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, will receive one slice of pizza, courtesy of Papa John’s.
In addition to Reggie’s Kid Club Day, Special Olympic athletes, apart of the Special Olympics Project Unify team, will be joining the Illinois State soccer team on-field during starting introductions and the national anthem on-field. During halftime, all kids and Special Olympic athletes in attendance will have the opportunity to take one shot at the goal, in an attempt to score on Reggie Redbird.
