NORMAL, Ill. - The Peoria Chiefs will sport a new look on August 14, when they take the field in special Illinois State jerseys as part of ISU Night at O'Brien Field in Peoria, Ill. The Chiefs will "Spread the Red" in conjunction with the Illinois State University Greater Peoria Area Alumni Chapter and Illinois State Athletics in their annual evening to honor ISU.

Those special jerseys will be signed by selected players and coaches and will be auctioned off on the concourse in a silent auction throughout the game.

Fans wishing to take part in the festivities can do so from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the Pepsi Party Plaza on the outfield concourse. Cost for the event is just $22 per person (children under 3 are free) and includes a game ticket, access to a Summertime Grill buffet and soda prior to the Chiefs' game against the Burlington Bees.

During the pre-game gathering, alumni, family and friends will have a chance to network and kids will have the opportunity to take their pictures with Reggie Redbird. In addition, a post-game fireworks display will wrap up the evening for everyone in attendance. Proceeds for the event will go to the ISU Alumni Association and to the ISU Athletics Department (The Redbird Club).
