The Illinois State cheerleading team is comprised of male and female students spilt into two squads. The red squad is all-girl and the white squad is coed.
RED SQUAD ROSTER
WHITE SQUAD ROSTER
What we do:
All members will cheer all home football games. Cheerleaders will be assigned to cheer at home Volleyball, Men's and Women's basketball games. In addition to cheering games, the team does numerous public appearances, performances, fundraisers, and philanthropy events throughout the year.
Our Purpose and Who We Are Looking For:
Our primary purpose is to support Redbird Athletics. We serve as ambassadors of the university and strive to represent, at all times, the ideals of Illinois State University.
Illinois State cheerleaders are passionate about sports and cheering at games. We have the best seats in the house and work to get the crowd yelling in support of our teams. Creating a fun, positive, and energetic environment at games is our goal.
We are looking for people who are dedicated to improving themselves as well as the people around them. Cheering at Illinois State is a big commitment, but can provide rewarding memories that will last a lifetime to those who have what it takes. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!
Competition is not our priority, it is a goal that we will work towards after the team has achieved excellence on the sideline and in the classroom. Each year the squads will prepare routines to perform at halftimes, exhibitions, and clinics. Ability level and funding will determine if we compete in a collegiate competition.
